Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Friday, McClure recommended Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. as one of his top options on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: Guerrero went 2-for-5 with a home run — returning 17 points on DraftKings and almost 22 points on FanDuel. Anybody who had him in their lineup was well on the way to a profitable day.

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for June 26, 2021

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Saturday is Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. at $4,700 on FanDuel and $5,800 on DraftKings. The 22-year old righty is absolutely obliterating the ball this season. He enters Saturday’s action with a league-leading 25 home runs, 54 RBis and an OPS of 1.076, which ranks second in the league.

He is coming off one of the best overall hitting performances of the season for any player as he went 4-for-5 with three home runs, four RBIs and four runs scored against the Diamondbacks on Friday. That returned an eye-popping 65.8 points and 14x value on FanDuel. And while that epic performance can’t easily be replicated, McClure still loves Tatis for Saturday’s matchup as he faces Diamondbacks starter Merrill Kelly (3-7, 5.06 ERA).

Part of McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy Saturday includes stacking Tatis with outfielder Tommy Pham at $3,100 on FanDuel and $4,200 on DraftKings. After the Padres put 11 runs on the board Friday, it’ll be important to look for affordable options in that lineup for Saturday. Pham fits that bill and he’s also coming off a strong outing.

He went 2-for-4 on Friday with a home run and three runs scored — returning over 31 points and 9x value on FanDuel. Pham is hitting .311 with a .988 OPS in June and he’s scored nine totals runs over his last seven games. He also has a home run and four RBIs in 11 career at-bats against Kelly, making him an ideal pick for Saturday MLB DFS lineups.
