MLB DFS: Best DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, strategy for July 7, 2021

Wednesday’s MLB DFS slate sees all 30 teams in action, with the Indians, Rays, Brewers and Mets all playing doubleheaders. Among the MLB DFS picks to consider is Angels designated hitter Shohei Ohtani, who leads the majors with 31 home runs as Los Angeles finishes a home series against the Boston Red Sox. Blue Jays DH Vladimir Guerrero Jr. isn’t far behind, as he has smacked 28 home runs and driven in 71 runs leading up to a road matchup against the Baltimore Orioles.

Can Ohtani continue to produce eye-popping MLB DFS production, or does Guerrero provide better value against the cellar-dwelling Orioles? And what other players should you consider as part of your MLB DFS strategy on Wednesday? Before locking in any MLB DFS picks for Wednesday, be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Tuesday, McClure included Phillies second baseman Jean Segura as one of his core picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: Segura went 4-for-6 with a double, two RBIs and four runs scored, producing 26 points on DraftKings and over 34 points FanDuel. Anybody who had him in their lineup was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, with the 2021 MLB season rolling on Wednesday, McClure has locked in his top MLB daily Fantasy picks. Head to SportsLine now to see them

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for July 7, 2021

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Wednesday is Blue Jays outfielder George Springer at $4,800 on DraftKings and $3,700 on FanDuel. Springer is hitting .228 with five home runs and 10 RBIs this season. He went 1-for-4 on Tuesday against the Orioles.

Springer’s modest Tuesday doesn’t fully reflect how strong he has been against Baltimore in 2021, as he has homered, driven in three runs and scored twice against the woeful Orioles. The three-time All-Star began 2021 on the injured list with a strained right quadriceps muscle, and played in only four games after he returned in late April before going back on the shelf. Springer’s bat is a threat any time he is at the plate, and McClure loves him Wednesday against Baltimore in all MLB DFS formats.

Part of McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy includes rostering Padres outfielder Wil Myers at $3,500 on DraftKings and $2,300 on FanDuel. Myers is hitting .252 with 10 home runs and 35 RBIs in 2021. Myers went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and five RBIs on Tuesday against the Nationals.

Myers also doubled and scored as part of a 2-for-4 day Monday against Washington, and is primed to smack around Nationals lefty Patrick Corbin (5-7 5.56 ERA, 17 homers allowed) on Tuesday. Myers has recorded seven of his 12 doubles at Petco Park, and has a strong .784 OPS on home soil. Myers is a threat to dominate any time he digs in, and is definitely worth his low price point on Wednesday.

How to set your MLB DFS lineups for July 7, 2021
